The initial project: developing a neonatal unit at l’Hôpital Kimbanguiste de Kinshasa (HKK)
Since 2017, we have been working closely with HKK. Thanks to our support, the neonatal unit opened its doors on January 14, 2020. We have continued our commitment by providing ongoing support to the healthcare team to ensure optimal operation and quality care for patients.
Our main goals
Training healthcare providers. Ensuring consistent and evolving access to validated care practices through Accès-NEO, an interactive platform for care protocols.
Enabling referral hospital facilities that do not have neonatal services to establish neonatal units capable of caring for sick newborns.
Help reduce infant mortality rates in institutions where CDV has intervened.
